Dog of the Day: Stan

Stan is approximately 6 years old and resides in Nova Scotia, Canada. He is charming, eager to please and loves to hang out with other dogs. He is also good with children and would suit a family home.  He spent most of his first six years in an outdoor pen so he is not house trained, but with patience and consistency he will be fully trained in no time (he is currently being potty trained while in foster). Although he is crate trained, he is quite the social butterfly and prefers to be next to his human.

Stan has been neutered and has had all his shots.

Dog Of The Day: Keisha

This beauty is a senior gal currently residing in St. John’s, NL. Keisha’s quiet, laid back disposition makes her perfect with children and other dogs.  Because of her age and arthritis, she isn’t too energetic but she still loves her daily walks and loves nothing more than a good belly rub.  She does not like to be left alone and because of this, it would be ideal if she was adopted into a family where someone was home most of the time.

For more information on Keisha, please contact Heavenly Creatures at 709.739.0077 or visit them on the web at www.heavenlycreatures.ca

Dog Of The Day: Jenny

Jenny, a puppy mill survivor, was rescued over a year ago and has made tremendous amounts of progress.  She is 12 years old and in spite of her age and being used as a breeding dog she is in good health.   As in most puppy mill rescues, Jenny was not house trained.  Over the past year her foster mom has worked extensively with her and tremendous progress has been made. She is excellent with small breed dogs but does panic when separated from her pack.  Because of her panic attacks and stress marks she will only be considered for placement in a home with a stable small breed dog.  While Jenny still has a ways to go, she is certainly on her way. In the right environment I’m sure this sweet pup will thrive and bring much joy to those lucky enough to have her.

Dog of the Day: Ozzie

Ozzie is just over a year old. He was rescued from a reserve in Northern Quebec when he was about 5 months old. He has come a long way in the short time since his rescue and definitely deserves a forever home.

His shots are up to date, he is neutered and crate trained.  He is well behaved on and off leash and plays well with other dogs.  Despite this, it is recommended that he be placed in a home with no children or older children where his is the only dog.

For more information on Ozzie please visit the B.A.R.K. website here.

Dog of the Day: Currie

Currie is currently being fostered with the New Hope Dog  Rescue in Saskatoon, SK.  From the website:

Meet Golden Curry! The sweet and spicy dog from the north! He had a rough start to life, and prior to his rescue has lived his entire life as a stray without a home to ever call his own. Now that he’s coming to know what the good life is all about, he couldn’t be more grateful. He loves affection more than anything, and is loving making up for lost time by getting all the cuddles and pets he can get! Curry is such a loyal dog, and will be your little shadow following you wherever you go. Curry was very emotionally shut down when he came to New Hope, but within a few short days, he gained his confidence and quickly became the happy-go-lucky dog he was meant to be.  He is crate trained and he can stay in the crate when you go to work. He enjoys being active, and is quickly learning how fun playing can be. He loves playing with his toys especially with his rope, but what he loves to do most is playing with other dogs!  Even though Curry enjoys being active, he also enjoys lying near you and relaxing at the end of the day. Although he has come so far in a few short weeks, he still has a lot to learn and will need a family that will continue to work with him, and continue to show him just how wonderful life in a loving home can be.
